A few things I’ve had to stop doing so I can keep doing the rest:
- •I can’t read unsolicited manuscripts, proposals, or business plans.
- •I can’t give personal advice or feedback on individual situations, however thoughtfully described.
- •I don’t do exploratory calls or “quick coffees.” If there’s a real project, describe it here.
- •I don’t check direct messages on social platforms. This form is how to reach me.

If you write and don’t hear back, it isn’t that your note didn’t land. We read everything. We can’t answer everything.
