Please see here to learn more about all open positions that I am currently hiring for. One featured position is described below.
I’m building a small, high-trust team to help launch my next book (The One and the Ninety-Nine) and to grow a larger project at the crossroads of publishing, media, venture, and culture. I’m looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative without waiting for a playbook, and can help build systems that last.
This role is part marketing, part operations, and part community development. It’s not a standard “marketing manager” job—it’s closer to an apprenticeship, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as we scale.
What you’ll do:
– Shape and run our social media strategy (Reddit, X, IG, LinkedIn, or wherever the conversation lives)
– Grow a newsletter and community of readers and thinkers
– Manage podcast and press outreach
– Handle speaking and launch logistics
– Organize events—virtual salons, live gatherings, and unique experiences
– Design systems that keep everything moving smoothly
What you bring:
– You’ve shown unusual creativity online—whether across multiple platforms or mastery of one that proves you can translate ideas into culture-shaping content
– You’re fluent in organizational tools (Slack, Asana, Canva, etc.) or can learn them fast
– You care about writing, design, and the craft of communication
– You’re proactive, self-directed, and energized by big, interdisciplinary projects
– You’ve read some of my work and have your own point of view
This is part-time to start, but will consider a full-time role immediately for the right person—compensation for full-time work would be approximately $5,000-8,000/month depending on experience.
It’s not for tourists or those who need constant direction. But if you want to help build something new at the intersection of ideas, institutions, and culture—this could be a career-defining experience.
